Think & Drink – Surfing on Lake Michigan

Please join the Wisconsin Maritime Museum on March 6, 2025 at 6:30pm for our Think & Drink series presentation “Surfing on Lake Michigan” with Larry Williams. The featured drink of the night will be a Surf’s Up! cocktail.
When we think of surfing, sunny California beaches usually come to mind. So why is Sheboygan, Wisconsin known as the “Malibu of the Midwest?” Join Lake Michigan surfer Larry Williams as he shares the history of the sport known as “freshwater surfing” and how it feels to endure the freezing cold temperatures up and down Wisconsin’s eastern coastline while riding the waves.
