As the Wisconsin Maritime Museum enters its fifth decade, this is a good opportunity to take a look at the depth and breadth of the collections assembled over the past forty years.  Most, if not all, of the objects in this exhibit have never been exhibited.  Many simply did not make the cut for permanent or temporary exhibits due to space constraints and some have condition issues that make them not currently suitable for exhibition.  Not all of the items accepted into the Museum’s collections are ready to exhibit or even intact.  In the SOS [Save Our Stuff] section, we are highlighting important items that are in need of restoration.

The exhibit will run from June 27, 2009 through June 2010 in the Riverside Gallery on the Museum’s lower level.
